Introduction for librarians

Bibliography of Scottish Literature in Translation

Librarians will find in BOSLIT a deeply-researched and comprehensive resource of information on translations of Scottish literature from 1500 to the present day.

It will prove to be of assistance in enquiry and reference work, bibliographical research, cataloguing, indexing and collection development.

Translations in over 70 different languages are covered by the bibliography. Both monographic and analytic references are included, and can be viewed in brief, full or MARC format.

Initial search results may be narrowed down by limiting them, for example, to a specific language, date, or place of publication. Search terms may be cross-searched with the National Library of Scotland's main catalogue and other online resources, and search results may be downloaded.
