Description:The devil, the Pope and the Pretender lying on their backs at the foot of the coffin. Text begins: "The remains of his late royal highness Prince Wm. Augustus, Duke of Cumberland who departed this life Octo. 31st 1765 in the 45th year of his age." In celebration of the Battle of Culloden. Picture of coffin of Duke of Cumberland with angels taking his soul up to Heaven. The coffin is surrounded by tall candles and mourners in black, with the pope, the devil, and Prince Charles Edward Stuart on their backs, watching the Duke rise to Heaven, with text below
