Searching separate locations within Scottish Bibliographies Online

The Scottish Bibliographies Online (SBO) database contains three elements:

Bibliography of Scotland (BOS) — contains Scottish material published since 1987
Bibliography of Scottish Gaelic (BOSG) — contains material of all dates published in Scottish Gaelic
Bibliography of the Scottish Book Trade (BSBT) — contains material of all dates relating to books, publishing and related fields

By default, a search on SBO will search all three elements. However, you can search BOS, BOSG and BSBT separately on SBO using the 'Limits' function:

Open the Scottish Bibliographies Onliine search
Carry out a search
On the title search results screen, click 'Post Limit'
Select the location you wish to limit the results to (BOS, BOSG, or BSBT)
Searches can also be limited by language, date of publication and country of publication if desired
Click 'Set Limits'
The limits selected are then applied to your search results and you are returned to the results screen
Limits remain in force until they are cancelled by clicking 'Clear Limits'.
