Manuscript Purchases
- Album compiled by Christina Alice Ballantyne (1825-1904), wife
of John Ballantyne, RSA, and continued by others, containing
autograph letters and documents of various dates between 1671 and
1935: writers include William Robertson, William Creech, John
Gibson Lockhart, Daniel Terry, Francis Jeffrey, Henry Cockburn and
Thomas Carlyle.
