by email: Our general email address is rarebooks@nls.uk: messages sent here will be read within 24 hours or on Monday morning if sent after 5pm on Friday. emails about items to be consulted or about reprography orders should always be sent to this address. You may send emails to individual staff members as listed, but please bear in mind that such emails may not be read immediately if the individual staff member is absent.
in person: Our offices are in the George IV Bridge building, and if you wish to see a specific member of staff, please ask at the Admissions and Enquiry Office near the front entrance.
by telephone: You may telephone (or fax) Rare Book Collections direct at 0131 623 3899 (fax: 0131 623 3888). If there is nobody available, an answering machine will take a message.
by letter: You may write to us at: Rare Book Collections, National Library of Scotland, George IV Bridge, Edinburgh EH1 1EW.
