by e-mail: Our general e-mail address is rarebooks@nls.uk: messages sent here will be read within 24 hours or on Monday morning if sent after 5pm on Friday. e-mails about items to be consulted or about reprography orders should always be sent to this address. You may send e-mails to individual staff members as listed, but please bear in mind that such e-mails may not be read immediately if the individual staff member is absent.
in person: Our offices are in the George IV Bridge building, and if you wish to see a specific member of staff, please ask at the Admissions and Enquiry Office near the front entrance.
by telephone: You may telephone (or fax) Rare Book Collections direct at 0131-623 3899 (fax: 0131-623 3888). If there is nobody available, an answering machine will take a message.
