Come along to the National Library of Scotland on Friday 28 July for the Polar Family Fun Day.
Throughout the day visitors of all ages will be able to:
- Learn about Ernest Shackleton's heroic Antarctic expedition — the subject of the Royal Geographical Society's 'Enduring Eye' exhibition, currently showing at the Library
- Listen to some adventurous stories about heroes and huskies from the frozen south
- Play inside a read Antarctic tent
- Build a dogloo for the huskies
… and much (mush) more.
All the activities have been arranged in association with the UK Antarctic Heritage Trust, which supports the exhibition.
The Polar Family Fun Day takes place in the National Library of Scotland's Boardroom in the George IV Bridge building.
