The treasures displays in our George IV Bridge building are a small sample of the millions of items in our collections. We change the display several times a year.
To celebrate the 2017 UK-India Year of Culture, our display 'Images of India' showcases some of our South Asian treasures, both indigenous and by Scots.
Treasures on display include hand-coloured printed books, early Indian printing, sacred texts, poetry and histories.
Many exhibits are unique or rare, and all are visually stunning.
