Correspondence Policy
Enquiries will be dealt with as soon as possible, and will normally be processed within 1-3 weeks unless we are notified of a specific deadline.

This service does not include:

Compilation of extensive bibliographies
Answers for quizzes (try your local library)
Extensive family history research

We cannot undertake extensive genealogical research on behalf of enquirers as we are not the main depository for Scottish vital records (birth, death, etc.). However, we can provide brief information from sources within our collections, and may be able to point you in the right direction to continue your research.
