Library video guides
We have millions of items covering virtually every subject. Whether you are researching a topic, learning about the lives of your ancestors or want to learn more about what we hold, you may be surprised to find that there is something here for everyone.
The interactive floor plan on this page shows you the areas that are open to the public. There are key information points which explain these areas in more detail and are helpful if you decide to visit us in person.
To help you get started, there are four video guides:
- Video guide 1: 'What is NLS?' - A brief history about the Library and why it was established
- Video guide 2: 'How to find things' - Shows you how to start looking for items from our vast collections.
- Video guide 3: 'Using the Library from home or work' - Provides a quick guide on the many different resources you can access remotely.
- Video guide 4: 'Using the Library in person' - Guides you through the steps of getting a library card and finding your way around the building when you arrive.
