Non-members welcome at writing conference

City of Everywhere: Edinburgh and contemporary writing is the title of this year's annual conference of the Association for Scottish Literary Studies, which is being hosted by the National Library of Scotland on Saturday 29 May. Open to non-members, the all-day event (in our Causewayside Building) features a range of speakers discussing various aspects of writing, from theatre and poetry to crime fiction. Afternoon sessions will examine the work of Scottish authors Muriel Spark and Irvine Welsh. Registration costs £30 (£15 for students/unwaged) and includes lunch.
