SCOTBIS takes a stand

Visitors to an exhibition in Glasgow next week have the chance to discover the wealth of business resources available to them through the National Library of Scotland.

SCOTBIS is the Scottish Business Information Service run by NLS, and has taken one of the stands at the newstartscotland exhibition at the SECC. Now in its second year, the event aims to help new or existing companies develop their business. Well over 7,000 visitors attended in 2005.

NLS staff will be on hand this year to discuss the rich and varied business-related material in NLS collections, and will demonstrate the SCOTBIS website. SCOTBIS offers a full range of research options, many of them available online. Also part of newstartscotland, which runs from 24-25 March, is a SCOTBIS seminar on sources of business information.
