Examples of the work of Scotland's greatest Gaelic poet will be exhibited at a cinema next month.
Edinburgh Filmhouse will show Hallaig, a documentary on the 'landscape and poetry' of Sorley Maclean, on 7 November. The screening is part of the 'Poetic Cinema' season, which also features a visual interpretation of Maclean's poem 'Hallaig'.
On display during the brief season will be copies of material from the National Library of Scotland. NLS holds a substantial collection of the poet's manuscripts.
Maclean is included in The Write Stuff, our feature on Scottish authors and poets.
