New reading rooms at George IV Bridge
Our programme of refurbishment at George IV Bridge continues with the opening of three new reading rooms next week. From Monday 27 November, we will be providing:
- the Silent Reading Room - a laptop-free zone
- the Rare Books and Music Reading Room
- the Manuscripts Reading Room.
Work on the planned ground-floor Visitors Centre is leading to other changes. In December, readers' registration will move to a temporary location on the ground floor. From Saturday 25 November, access to microforms and electronic media moves from the ground floor to the first-floor Catalogue Hall.
