A new Agency for the Legal Deposit Libraries came into operation in Edinburgh on Monday 2 March.
The agency acts on behalf of five of the six legal deposit libraries in the UK and Ireland to request and distribute material from publishers. Having outgrown its London premises, it has moved into part of the National Library of Scotland's Causewayside Building.
The relocation is not the agency's only change. It is now a Scottish charity owned and managed by NLS, but is a wholly independent body with its own directors.
