The National Library of Scotland has published its draft response to draft proposals for preserving non-print publications for future generations.
A consultation on the legal deposit libraries regulations being put forward by the Department of Culture, Media and Sport closes on 22 December. The department is seeking views on all aspects of the proposals from libraries, other interested organisations and members of the public.
When finalised, the regulations will ensure that significant publications are deposited with legal deposit libraries regardless of the medium they are published in, and preserved as part of the national archive.
The NLS draft response to the draft regulations answers specific questions posed by the department. You can find out more about the regulations and answer the questionnaire online on the Department of Culture, Media and Sport website.
