A shortlist of six entries has been announced for the 2011 poetry pamphlet publishing competition.
Judges for this year's Callum Macdonald Memorial Award selected the shortlist from what one of them described as 'a great variety of excellent entries'.
Now in its 11th year, the award recognises, encourages and rewards the publication of poetry in pamphlet form. The pamphlet or its publisher must have a connection with Scotland or Scottish culture.
The competition attracted a record number of entrants this year. The winner and runner-up will be announced in a ceremony at the National Library of Scotland on Wednesday 19 May.
