Banned books advent calendar

Every day from 1 December until Christmas, a book will be revealed in the world's first banned books advent video calendar.
Each of the daily videos features a professional librarian, politician or other contributor discussing a banned book.
Available on websites round the world, the online calendar aims to promote debate about censorship.

Scottish contributors
The National Library of Scotland has made several of the videos, with Scottish contributors including Orkney MSP Liam McArthur and National Librarian and Chief Executive Martyn Wade.
This international project has been organised by the Committee on Freedom of Access to Information and Freedom of Expression (FAIFE) and the International Federation of Library Associations (IFLA).
