Easterhouse local history group Trondra to present their new book to the National Library of Scotland
Event: The National Library of Scotland has been working with the Trondra Local History Group for the past year on a community project. The group, from Greater Easterhouse in Glasgow, have just finished the publication Hidden Histories. Greater Easterhouse: More Than Just A Scheme. At an official handover event, taking place on 13 October, members of the group will present a copy of the book to Gordon Hunt, the Library's Director of Customer Services. The book will then become part of the national collections.
Professor Tom Devine will be present to meet the group and talk about his own experiences as a writer and historian.

Further information
The book will be distributed, free, to local schools and community groups. John Wheatley College and The Open Museum are also partners in the project.
