The National Library of Scotland is keen to discuss potential projects for the Scottish Cultural Heritage Consortium-AHRC Collaborative Doctoral Partnership 2018 awards.
All the Collaborative Doctoral Partnerships (CDP) across the UK who have received second round awards are taking a co-ordinated approach to their selection timetables, including the Scottish Cultural Heritage Consortium (SCHC).
All CDP proposals have a deadline for submission to their Selection Panels of late November 2017, and all are holding their Selection Panel meetings in early January 2018. This will allow us to advertise for students in February/March 2018, for a September/October 2018 start.
National Library of Scotland timetable:
January-July 2017 — development of proposals with partner supervisors.
By beginning of October 2017 — first full draft of proposals to be completed and submitted to the internal National Library of Scotland assessment panel.
Early October 2017 — National Library internal assessment panel meets and gives feedback on first draft.
Early November 2017 — submission of revised drafts.
Mid-November 2017 — National Library internal assessment panel meets and finalises proposals, with any recommended amendments.
Late November 2017 — deadline for submission of final drafts to be sent out to SCHC Selection Panel.
