A disability equality document drafted by the National Library of Scotland has just gone out for public consultation.
Comments are being sought this month on our draft Disability Equality Scheme. This aims to show how we will promote equality of opportunity for disabled people in all NLS services. As well as our buildings, it covers publications, the website, exhibitions and events. We are required to produce such a scheme under the terms of the Disability Discrimination Act 2005.
The Disability Equality Scheme draft is available online as a web page and a PDF file. Our deadline for feedback is Friday 27 October.
