The song 'A Point in Space' was inspired by Timothy Pont's 1596 map which includes the city of Glasgow.
‘I live in the current version of Glasgow. Timothy Pont lived in a very different Glasgow and so writing the song helped me to understand the contrasts between the two and the varying challenges our respective times faced. Remarkably we both had to overcome pandemics; his, the Black Death, mine Covid.’
