Our General Reading Room and Special Collections Reading Room are open:
- Monday, Tuesday and Thursday: 09.30 to 19.00
- Wednesday: 10.00 to 19.00
- Friday and Saturday: 09.30 to 17.00.
The Maps Reading Room is open:
- Monday to Thursday: 10.00-13.00 and 14.00-17.00.
Exhibitions
Exhibitions are held at the Library's George IV Bridge building in Edinburgh.
The exhibition space is open during the following hours:
- Monday, Tuesday and Thursday: 09.30 to 19.00
- Wednesday: 10.00 to 19.00
- Friday and Saturday: 09.30 to 17.00.
Other services in George IV Bridge
The café is open:

The shop and Readers' Registration are open:

Kelvin Hall
The National Library at Kelvin Hall in Glasgow, including the Moving Image Archive, is open with revised opening hours:
- Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday: 10.00 to 17.00
- Wednesday: 13.30 to 20.00.
Moving Image Archive office hours — Monday to Friday: 09.00-17.00.

We are closed for selected public holidays during the year. On some holidays, public spaces may be open with limited hours.
