The Special Collections Reading Room is where you can consult Manuscripts, Rare Books and Music. Rare books include pre-1851 printed books and all printed books in special collections.
This reading room is accessible by lift only. If you are unable to use a lift, please speak to a member of staff when you visit. You can find further information on our page about access and facilities at George IV Bridge for people with disabilities.
Most manuscript maps are available in the Maps Reading Room in our Causewayside Building.
