An introductory workshop on researching ancestors from the Highlands and Islands using the Library's resources.
This is an introductory online talk covering the family history resources available at the National Library of Scotland. There will be a special focus on sources relating to ancestors from the Highlands and Islands.
We'll introduce what the Library does, then talk through the many relevant collections and how to access these, both online and person. We'll look at books, newspapers, maps, films, manuscripts and more. These will give you to get an overview of the Library's collections and how they can be used to research Highland ancestors.
There will be time for questions and answers at the end.
