Evidence of identity and address

When you join the Library or renew your membership, we need to see proof of your identity and address. This ensures the security of our collections and allows us to manage remote access to some of our electronic resources.
Accepted forms of ID and proof of address
We accept a valid full driving licence which shows your current address or two of the following (one of which must show your current address):
State-issued documents, e.g. passport.
Utility bills and financial documents (these can be on your phone or another mobile device).
NHS documentation, e.g. NHS appointment letters and prescriptions.
DVLA documentation or correspondence.
Signed bank card or bus pass.
