When you join to become a member of the Library, you will gain access to a collection of online subscription resources for free. This includes family history resources like journals, newspapers, and reports.

You will you need to be onsite to use some of these databases, but some you can use from home if you have a Scottish residential address.

Ancestry (Library Edition) and Find My Past give you access to births, deaths and marriages indexes, census records, and selected lists and directories.
