Supporting Advanced Higher research with confidence
Date: Wednesday 5 November 2025
Time: 4pm – 5:30pm
Delivered via Microsoft Teams.
Are your pupils preparing for their Advanced Higher dissertations? Do you want to feel more confident guiding them towards reliable, free research resources?
Join the Learning team at the National Library of Scotland for an interactive and practical CPD session. Learn how to help pupils access free, high-quality primary and secondary sources, digital collections and research tools at the Library.
We'll equip you with the tools to support your learners through the early stages of independent research and help them reach their full potential. You'll also find out about our Advanced Highers programme that we offer every year for students.
Whether you're a secondary teacher or a school librarian, this CPD session will help you feel more confident and better equipped to support dissertation research — without costing your school a penny.
Spaces are limited. To reserve your place, email learning@nls.uk.
