Join the award-winning artists of Recollective as they present their new book 'Concrete Dreams: The Rise and Fall of Cumbernauld Town Centre'.

A brutalist citadel, Cumbernauld town centre was symbolic of the ambitions of the New Town movement. Its distinctive history is explored in this event which combines a screening of archive film alongside presentations by Recollective.

With words from Alison Irvine, photography from Chris Leslie and illustrations by Mitch Miller, Recollective's book captures the complex legacy of the iconic megastructure in a rich social history that reaches beyond the notion of an "overspill" town.

Book sales and signing will follow after the event.
