National Library of Scotland
A handmade and hand stitched reading journal.

Bookbinder Cass Barron will share how to make an A5 reading journal featuring an exposed binding and decorative cover.

Print outs will be provided for the pages of your book, featuring prompts and a star rating system that you can use to record and review the books you have read.

Cass will show you how to bind your pages together using an eye-catching Japanese stab zig zag stitch. There will then be the opportunity to decorate your book cover with guidance from Cass on how to incorporate a pocket and mini book that you can use to note down book recommendations.

If you like the idea of making a book about books, this workshop is for you.
