Discover stories of the National Library's history, collections and how you can explore them for yourself as we celebrate Doors Open Day and our centenary year.

There will be:

  • Drop-in games and activities for all ages,

  • free entry to our Treasures and Dear Library exhibitions,

  • an introduction to our Reading Rooms,

  • bookable half-hour behind-the-scenes tours of the Library's stack floors hidden below George IV Bridge. 

There's something on for everyone!

Timings 

Drop-in activities and exhibitions available 11am to 3pm.  You do not need to book for the drop-in activities and exhibitions.

Bookable tours with limited capacity will run at:

  • 11:15am to 11:45am

  • 12:15pm to 12:45pm

  • 1:15pm to 1:45pm

  • 2:15pm to 2:45pm
