What can historic objects tell us about the experience of going to the pictures in Glasgow?

Discover rare photographs, items, and archive footage of iconic Glasgow cinemas with the National Library of Scotland and Glasgow Museums.

Alongside film footage from the National Library's collections, the Riverside Museum's Curator Neil Johnson-Symington will highlight some treasures from Glasgow Life Museums and Archives' collections. These collections provide clues into the history of going to the pictures in Glasgow such as paintings, programmes, and cinema café menus.

This event is part of the Glasgow Doors Open Day programme.
