National Library of Scotland
Louise Welsh and Damian Barr with a background of images of different libraries.

An in-conversation event with Louise Welsh, author and Professor of Creative Writing and Damian Barr, author, broadcaster and the National Library’s Centenary Champion about how libraries shaped their lives.

From finding a space (a library) from which to travel to distant lands through reading books as children, to using their university libraries as undergrads, the authors will reminisce about how libraries helped shape their careers.

This event is aimed at students who want to learn about all they can gain from engaging with their library service at university, but the public are welcome to attend.

Brought to you by the Scottish Confederation of University and Research Libraries, the Scottish Arts & Humanities Alliance, and the National Library of Scotland.

Because this is a free event, some people will not show up on the day. To ensure as many people as possible can attend, we will be overbooking for this event. Please show up early to guarantee entry.
