A felted cloud adorned with tiny coloured rhinestones.

In this hands-on workshop, participants will learn simple dry felting techniques and a little stitching and embellishment. These easy and enjoyable textile skills are suitable for beginners and offer a great introduction to working with wool and decorative hand sewing.

Together we will make beautiful wool clouds decorated with beaded raindrops and hanging rain ornaments. Your finished piece can be worn as a brooch, displayed as a wall decoration, or hung in your home as a reminder of rainy-day magic.

This workshop is designed for parents and children to create together.

  • Workshop 1 runs 10:30am-12:00pm and is geared towards ages 5-9 years.

  • Workshop 2 runs 12:30pm-2:30pm and is geared towards ages 10-15 years.

No previous experience is needed. All materials will be provided. Children 12 and under must always be supervised while in the Library.
