How to join

Submit our online registration form using the Join button below. You'll be sent an email asking to verify your email address. You'll also need to create a password.

Residents in Scotland can then use most of our eResources right away.

If you want to reserve items and view them in our reading rooms, you'll need a physical library card.

You can collect your card from Readers' Registration at our George IV Bridge building in Edinburgh. To do this, we'll need to see evidence of your identity and address.
