If it's expired, you can renew your library card online. To receive a new card you will need to bring proof of identity and address to Readers' Registration.

We can replace your library card if you lose it. There is a £5.00 charge for a replacement.

We do not charge if your card has been stolen or if you change your name. If your card is stolen, you should report the theft to the police and then provide us with a police report form or a crime number.

To replace your card, visit us on-site at our George IV Bridge building in Edinburgh to be issued with a new card. You will need to bring evidence of your identity and address.
