National Library of Scotland
A city made out of craft supplies.

Join us for an all-ages creative session where we get creative with recycled materials to bring to life the West End of the future.

Following on from 2025's award-winning Shoebox City workshop, this session will allow participants to recreate beloved icons areas of Glasgow's historic West End, as well as getting creative with imaging what buildings could appear here in the future.

Alongside the creative workshop we'll be screening some films from our archive that show how Glasgow's West End has changed over the decades.

A range of recycled materials and art supplies will be provided. All you need to bring is some inspiration and imagination.

The workshop is free and run on a drop-in basis, first come first served.

This event is part of the WestFest 2026 programme.
