To celebrate the 90th anniversary of Scotland's much-loved comic strip icons, the National Library of Scotland and DC Thomson present a special weekend of drop-in events across Edinburgh, Glasgow and Dundee, showcasing rare items from our collections and DC Thomson's archives.

See the first appearances of Oor Wullie and The Broons published in the Sunday Post on 8 March 1936, alongside first edition annuals.  Meet the curators to discover the origins of these much-loved cultural icons.

Discover how these famous characters have changed over time with a reel of comic strips from the past 90 years.

There will be special appearances and fun activities suitable for all ages, from bairns to granpaws.
