Doors open days George IV Bridge: Tours

Join us for a bookable behind-the-scenes tour of the Library's stack floors, hidden below George IV Bridge. This is a unique opportunity to explore areas not usually open to the public.

Tours will take you through the storage floors where millions of collection items are housed. You will discover how the Library cares for and preserves its treasures.

Each tour lasts approximately thirty minutes.

Bags and outdoor jackets must be left in a locker before the tour begins. Please arrive at least 10 minutes before your scheduled time.
